The Provincial Court acquits our client
The Provincial Court has issued an acquittal in favor of our client, who was accused of assault and threats, for which years of imprisonment were requested.
Thanks to the technical defense provided by the RRYP Global team , it was demonstrated that the reported events were not substantiated and that there was insufficient evidence to support a criminal conviction.
What is the crime of assault?
The crime of injury is regulated in articles 147 et seq. of the Spanish Penal Code and punishes whoever causes physical or mental damage to another person.
For a crime to exist, there must have been actual harm to the health or physical integrity of the victim.

- Serious injuries (arts. 149–150 CP): penalties of up 12 years in prison, when organ loss or permanent deformities occur.
In this case, the prosecution sought to apply an aggravated charge, but the RRYP Global team managed to prove that there was no direct relationship between the events and the reported injuries.
