Immigration law

Immigration law in Spain constitutes a legal branch that supervises the entry, stay, residence and exit of foreign individuals in Spanish territory.

This area covers a set of regulations and procedures that define the conditions and requirements so that citizens of other countries can enter and legally establish themselves in Spain, either temporarily or permanently.

The regulation of immigration law in Spain is based on various rules, laws and regulations, including the Organic Law 4/2000, of January 11, on the rights and freedoms of foreigners in Spain and their social integration. In addition, it is governed by the Regulation of Organic Law 4/2000, approved by Royal Decree 557/2011, of April 20.
